In this display of luxury and style, the hosts and attendees shined bright in some absolutely spectacular jewellery. Let’s discuss some of the most sparkling moments of this great Indian wedding.

Nita Ambani’s 100-carat diamond necklace set

The matriarch of the Ambani family, and the “CEO of the wedding”, Nita Ambani is a true connoisseur of gems. Throughout the wedding events, she was seen in all her glory, in some of the most exceptional and rare jewellery. From wearing one of the heaviest emeralds as a necklace, to donning the iconic Golconda pink diamond ring, the mother of the groom embodied opulence like no other. However, one piece of jewellery that triumphed over all else, in terms of beauty and value, was her 100-carat diamond necklace that took 1000 hours for the artisans to make! It was a 5 strand necklace made of brilliant emerald-cut solitaires with a gigantic yellow diamond as the central motif. This diamond has been described as ‘SUV sized’ by the onlookers who have seen it in person.

Isha Ambani’s allochromatic diamond necklace

The elder sister of the groom, Isha Ambani stunned everyone with a collarbone covering multi-hued diamond necklace. This haute jewellery is aptly called ‘The Garden of Love.’ It is said that this masterpiece took a total of 4000 hours to create by the artisans. It comprises of pink, green, blue, green, and orange diamonds, carefully arranged to mimic a lush garden. These sparkling gems are beautifully organized atop a sheer bed of portrait diamonds. In its centre, there is a picturesque heart-shaped blue diamond, designed into a lovely floral motif. Some butterfly motifs are sprinkled throughout the necklace, creating a surreal kaleidoscope effect. Isha paired it up with matching diamond earrings with delicate floral patterns, and a maang teeka also featuring multicoloured diamonds. All in all, this look was a complete work of art!

Radhika’s Sparkles at Sangeet Ceremony

Jewels can tell stories and this one says that Radhika is already mother-in law beloved! For the magnificent necklace she was seen wearing in her sangeet function, comes from the prized collection of Nita Ambani. It is the same exquisite ruby and diamond jewellery suit that Nita wore at her daughter Isha Ambani’s sangeet ceremony 6 years ago! Radhika danced the night away in these heavy purple rubies and complementing earrings. She donned a custom Manish Malhotra lehenga, which made the look even more glamorous. However, this isn’t the first time Radhika borrowed Nita’s jewellery; she has been seen in her mother-in-law's stunning pieces on several other occasions. Like in 2022, Radhika wore a beautiful diamond and pearl choker that also belonged to Nita Ambani. It is interesting how diamonds are emblems of growing love and trust!

Deepika Padukone’s Iconic Vintage Jewels

Mum-to-be Deepika Padukone looked resplendent in a bright red and gold salwar suit custom-made by Torani. However, it was the mysterious choker necklace she wore that stole the show. The actress repurposed an ancient bazuband as a necklace! It was no ordinary bazuband, it was a royal artifact made in the era of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the first ruler of the Sikh Empire. The bazuband was symbolic of courage and power in the Sikh Empire. It was the representation of the grandeur and prosperity that defined his reign. This artistic heritage features a central ruby weighing 150 carats. It is surrounded by pristine white sapphires. Deepika paired it up with matching earrings and a heavy stack of bracelets.
